They met in highschool. Intramurals to be exact. She played volleyball and they needed a strong tall guy to help win some games. JJ was definitely the guy. They went to prom together and it looks like love began its flame from there.
When I first met with Laura and JJ to discuss the wedding, I was thrilled to be in the company of such genuine people. I was blown away by how abundantly joyful they seemed together. During the engagement session, I had the wonderful pleasure of getting to know both Laura and JJ a little bit better. There is just something so comforting about photographing such calm, collective individuals. I knew the wedding day would be an absolute breeze. I met the girls in the bridal suite a the Biltmore for pre wedding photos. I was greeted by Laura with a warm big hug and a HUGE smile as she explained how extremely excited she was for the day to begin. Laura is one of those girls you are immediately friends with. She is so kind hearted and has the BEST personality. The ceremony was held in the beautiful chapel at Brophy and the reception was at the gorgeous Camelback Inn. The night was filled with laughter, joy and a lot of talk of football. JJ is one of the most genuine, kindhearted athletes I have ever met. He is an extremely talented long snapper for the Carolina Panthers and I have complete faith JJ is and will be a true testimony and example for any aspiring athlete. He is genuine, strong and has a HUGE heart for God. I admire his shameless pride for the Lord and he is an outstanding example for the NFL and all professional sports. JJ and Laura make an amazing team and I feel so honored to have been able to document their wedding day. THANK YOU. For those of you that know Laura, you understand how "blissful" this day was. |

I just love these next two photos. Laura's mom was SO cute as Laura was getting dressed. She was calm, supportive and shed a few tears and Laura looked absolutely stunning...

Caroline, Laura's sister, let out a few tears too.

When I met Laura years ago, I always enjoyed the occasional times we spent together. She was always a positive girl with a contagious laugh. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Laura's fiance JJ at coffee, while we all discussed the wedding. I felt immediately at ease around the both of them. I couldn't help but to observe how laid back and joyful they both seemed together. I knew working with the both of them would be a blast. Laura chose the Botanical Gardens for the engagement shoot. We had a great time exploring the gardens amongst all the dozens of people that showed up that day to see the glass exhibit. Even though it was crowded, we had a great time laughing and hanging out. Thank you both for making the day so enjoyable and I am looking forward to seeing you both again in June!

JJ was definitely a trooper for sitting next to these pink flowers as bees swarmed the bush.
