Eolia Mansion Wedding Conneticut : Danielle + Derek

When I first chatted with Danielle about possibly photographing her wedding in Waterford Connecticut, I was excited about the possibility. She contacted me in a bit of distress because her first photographer they hired canceled on them. For whatever reason, I sure am glad it worked out for me :)
I assured Danielle it would work out just fine. We chatted over facetime and talked about her ideas for the big day. Danielle gushed about how amazing their venue, The Eolia Mansion is and how it is a "photographer's dream". I couldn't wait to experience the venue in person and meet Danielle and her charming fiancé, Derek, for the first time.
We arrived in beautiful Waterford at the Eolia Mansion and I was seriously drooling at every angle of the mansion. Green vines drape the siding of the entire building and there are quaint, quiet and lush gardens throughout. I was in a photographer's paradise.
The day started out perfect. The clouds rolled in for a softened glow and the weather had cooled a bit for the week. Danielle and Derek's family, the bridal party and the guests were some of the nicest people we have worked with. It is rare to have a beautiful couple inside and out, a great group of people surrounding them, AND an amazing venue to work at. I am so very thankful.
Danielle + Derek, you both were such a treat to work with and we feel extremely grateful to have documented the most important day of both your lives thus far. We wish you both the absolute best and LOTS of babies :) We cannot wait to see you all again for another family celebration next May :)
Danielle is an amazing graphic designer... I'm so in love with her stationary!
Danielle had set up a "first look" with her dad. I shed a tear behind the camera during this moment!
And of course, the "first look" with Derek couldn't have been more special :)
The property was amazing to walk around. Everywhere we stopped was gorgeous!
