They met at a freshmen bonfire. The night was warm in San Diego and for some, the fresh excitement of school was just beginning. Although they were newly sophomores, Amy and Brett thought it would be fun to join the new gang of "freshmen" for a night of conventional questions. "Whats your major? Wheres your dorm?" (and the best question....) "So what do you want to do when you graduate?" ( like any of us knew?)
They stumbled upon each other at some point of the night and laughed as they asked each other the same "break the ice" questions. They quickly got to know each other and immediately felt a spark from the very start.
As the years flew by, they both continued their studies at Point Loma Nazarene University. After many meals in the caf and strolls down the infamous caf lane, it was easy to see Brett and Amy would never be far from each other. It all seemed to be history from there.
Since Brett is from Scottsdale, Amy decided it was time to move to Scottsdale and continue her newly engaged life close to Brett. Low and behold, we became roommates. I feel honored to have been able to spend these past 8 months with Amy. Her amiable heart, uplifting spirit and her endearing smile are just a few reasons I absolutely adore Amy. Stephen and I have both enjoyed seeing a lot more of Amy and Brett this past year and we look forward to more fun times together. Thank you guys for being such awesome friends. Can't wait to watch your family grow! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your celebration! Click HERE to see a slideshow of the rest of the day. |
