Summertime Brothers

Before I post my next wedding, I had to show off my beautiful family. You can definitely tell I'm proud right? Wesley is now three weeks old and I am thrilled to show off these new photos. While the men leisurely played some golf this afternoon, the women of my family joined the baby men for an afternoon of some great photos. Summertime, popsicles, and lots of water made this afternoon perfect. Good ol days of summertime bliss. Just thought I'd share these photos.... I still cannot get over how absolutely beautiful my family is. I am for sure a proud auntie to these two beautiful kiddos. Happy Monday!!

Maybe he will be a football player? He loved that helmet!

This should totally be a nike ad!

Oliver is so gentle with Wesley... its just too cute!

Gotta love those green eyes and green popsicle!

Pretty clothes

Hello fellow blog readers!! I recently have a break with some work until this weekend so I thought I would blog about something more personal. I just recently posted about my venture for the perfect authentic vintage dress and I have narrowed the choice down to two fabulous finds. My amazing bride Cortney sent me a link to this vintage store and I have to give Cortney a special thanks because this store is FABULOUS! ! I need some help deciding. This is where you guys come in! These two dresses are both from 1950 and are the same price, same size, but very different looks. It seems that they may need to be taken in a bit but I think they are both really unique and worth the buy. I know that this isn't everyones cup of tea but I could use some help deciding :) Anyone that reads this, PLEASE drop me a line in the comment block. Number 1? or 2?

Bonnie and Josiah

This post means a lot to me. My best friend Bonnie of 21 years, married the man the Lord prepared for her last June 13th, 2008. It was a gorgeous celebration and an answer to prayer. Josiah is one of the most genuine, kind hearted, and funniest guys I have ever met. I can't imagine Bonnie with anyone else. They fit each other like a perfect fitting glove. As we sat as little girls and watched little mermaid, we always dreamed of our "prince Eric" and what it would be like to kiss a handsome prince in a beautiful princess dress. As we grew older, we were faced with a different reality. A reality that is even better than kissing a prince in a sparkly dress, under a mossed tall tree with a little blue bird singing the perfect tune. Although we all would love this to happen every day, life just wouldn't be the same without the men in our lives. God brought us down the right paths safely and faithfully. I felt so honored to stand next to Bonnie as she decided to commit her life to her new best friend. I realized as time passed on, I no longer was the only person Bonnie would call to talk about new things with. She had someone new to share new experiences with and new exciting passions. Even though we knew our friendship would be shared with someone else someday, I felt proud to watch Bonnie walk her life with Josiah. I know and have complete faith that Josiah has and WILL take wonderful care of this precious girl that has grown into one of the most unbelieveable women I have ever met. Her passion and ability to draw people to her magnetic personality is a gift that is hard to find in many people. I absolutely LOVED taking photos for Bonnie and Cy in Old Town Orange as we celebrated their one year anniversary this June. I just want to say thank you to these two amazing people for sharing their lives with Stephen and I. I know we will forever be friends and share in great experiences as we walk in faith and allow God to mold our lives as friends.

Ok ... I seriously wish every reader knew how absolutely funny both Bonnie and Cy are. They are hilarious and their facial expressions are constantly changing. It's one of my favorite things about them!

I think something smells here......Bonnie?

This is one of my favorite photos...

Stephen stopped to take a few photos of Bonnie and I as we laughed our pants off together. Not literally... but kind of..

Blonde Laguna

This past week has been BUSY! I have had the wonderful opportunity to attend a fashion show, spend time with a beautiful close friend and hang out with my future in-laws in warm California. June 17th, Billabong hosted their 3rd annual fashion show to raise money for charity. The money will help give 450,000 people fresh clean drinking water in some of the poorest communities throughout Africa, India and Central America. I was happy to contribute to this amazing cause and attend a fabulous fashion show! Marissa, this beautiful blonde featured below, is a talented product developer for Billabong and invited a few of us gals to join her in Hollywood to watch the outcome of this seasons new swimwear. We enjoyed watching Iglu and Hartly and The Airborne Toxic Event rock their hearts out on stage. It was a night full of celebrities and beautiful people. Tori Praver seemed to be the highlight of the night as she strutted her stuff down the runway. As Billabongs new global model, Tori and the billabong team worked together to design the Tori Praver Design for Humanity bikini. It was so thrilling to see a new aspect of photography.

Yesterday, Marissa and I walked Laguna Beach and talked about college and whats going on in life. Marissa is one of those girls you could spend all day with and your abs will ache from laughing. Besides being a talented product designer for billabong, Marissa is a interior designer, a florist on the side and an amazing friend.

I just LOVE this photo for some reason... I think she just looks gorgeous.

We definitely had a fun time with each other... We took some fun shots in front of the ocean wall.

And Marissa is seriously the coolest goofball around. She is a ball of fun!!

I was absolutely captivated by watching The Airborne Toxic Event play on stage. The violinist is beautiful and extremely talented. These last two photos were taken by the GREAT photographers at the event. (Wish I could have been the professional there!!!)

All the beautiful billabong models rocked out in the new designs.

Vintage threads

As my wedding approaches, I keep finding more and more things I need to get done. ONE detail that will take some time, is finding the PERFECT vintage dress for the rehearsal dinner. I was browsing my mom's computer a few weeks ago and stumbled upon this FABULOUS photo of my nana. I know she is reading this and will probably kill me for posting this but I think she is the most stunning woman inside and out. I just HAD to show everyone how absolutely gorgeous and timeless she looks in this photo!! Besides my mom, and well.. every woman in my family, my nana is of course beautiful and not to mention extremely wise. I admire her greatly and am absolutely in love with this photo of her. Being said, this photo has inspired me to look for a "real" vintage dress! Although my nana no longer has this fabulous dress, I am on a mission to find the perfect one. I thought since my wedding theme is "vintage", I want to incorporate as much vintage as I can. SO... I have been keeping my eyes peeled for the perfect vintage rehearsal dinner dress. With everything that is online these days, you would think it wouldnt be so difficult right? well, every single dress I have fallen in love with... has been SOLD. The dresses I featured here next to my nana are a few darling pieces that caught my eye. I found the most amazing website that sells real "hardly worn" vintage dresses. From prom dresses, to wedding dresses, to cocktail dresses to vintage shoes... this website has it all! Posh Girl Vintage is my new favorite site. Anyone have any suggestions about places to look?! If so, leave me a comment as to where to look! On a side note, I thought I would talk about my new renovated office and share with you where I work day and night. After working at home for quite some time, I figured it was time to really create a comfortable office. I went to different antique stores looking for things to help me decorate within a reasonable budget and I found some perfect pieces! Definitely check out Ikea for desks. They have a lot of good options and they are quite inexpensive. I added a small tv next to my computer so I could watch some daily news and maybe some entertainment gossip to keep me going through out the day. :) And props... I needed a little something special to spice up the room that really reflects me. Vintage cameras!! You guessed it :) Every photographer needs a well organized place to work. Besides things being in place, its important to have a place you want to go to every day.... Im not quite finished with this project but its coming along!

I really enjoy the color green. I find it really relaxing and easy to be around.

Gotta love props!

Two things everyone needs in every office. A good solid hard drive and a vase of fresh flowers. You might not agree with me and some may think flowers are a waste of money but I challenge you to try it. Buy some fresh flowers and set them next to you while you work. I PROMISE, they just make you feel better! Be sure to check out the My Book. Its super important you have your entire computer backed up at all time!

I try not to look at the clock very much but it looks nice right? :)

AND the blackberries. Its sad that I never really leave my computer. It goes along with me all day but its a vital role for my business. I have just learned to be selfish with my time and turn it off when I need to! No teasing for not having the i phone. AT&T is horrible in my area and I like the blackberry ... ok?
