My Baby is one

hen I was pregnant, every day I would pray that this baby would be happy. (A whole lot of other things) but happy was a word I used the most. A year ago today, I was in labor for 24 hours. Yes, 24 HOURS. The only thought that kept me going, was being able to hold my baby boy when all the pain would subside. Finally, sweet Henry Dawson was placed in my arms and life just felt complete. Nothing else mattered. Nothing.  
 
Steve and I loaded him up in our car and drove him home. We pulled up to the first stop light and both cried out of complete disbelief that we were given this sweet baby to take care of. US? REALLY? God trusts us with this sweet baby boy? In that moment, we both realized how incredibly blessed we really are. We felt so proud to be his parents and he was only a day old. Life was only going to get better from there. 
 
This past year has been nothing but joy. To us, Henry is the happiest baby in the world. His smiles, hugs and kisses have made this entire year just fly by. We feel so incredibly blessed. Happy is the word we feel the most.
